How do I project my voice through my laptop using a USB mic?

I have a band and we have no soundsystem or mic or anything. What I do have is a USB mic, a laptop, and a stereo system. My idea is to hook the laptop up to the stereo and use the USB mic to sing through, but I don't have a way to get the USB mic to go through the speakers or don't know how. If there is a way please let me know

If your MIC is already working on the laptop, then it's simply a matter of connecting the audio output of the laptop to the stereo's audio input. Your laptop probably has a 3.5mm Jack output, and the stereo has a Phono input, so you would need a lead like this

Once connected test that the laptop is sending sounds to the stereo by playing an mp3 or something.
If that's working then all you need to do to get sound from your MIC is set the correct volume settings in windows sound mixer, which can be accessed by double clicking on the speaker icon in the bottom right of the screen.
