what amp to get for two 12" inch subs?

So what you need to do is find a mono amp. Thats a 1-channel. Also you need to add the total RMS up. They are 400rms. 400 x 2=800RMS. Only go by RMS at ALL times. Your subs are 4-ohm. This means they can only be ran at 4-ohms or 1-ohm. What you need to do is find an amp that give about 800RMS x1 at 4-ohm. If I were you id try to get the 2-ohm subwoofers. It will be alot easier to find the right amp. Also what you can do is find an amp that gives off 800RMS x1 at 1-ohm because all subwoofers can be ran at 1-ohm doesnt matter what they are. The only problem is the amp has to burn itself up. This causes less lasting time and isn't a good factor. So try to find a mono amp 800RMS x1 @ 4-ohm.

OR buy the 2-ohm subwoofers instead of your current 4-ohms and find an amp that gives 800RMS x1 @ 2-ohm. More efficient and better/easier to find. Also there is class A/B and class D. Class D is just more efficient in sending out power rather than the class A/B. Just read the basics and you'll catch on.
