I upgraded from 10 years old, 27 “Samsung TV, it is not surprising that I like the new series. I’m seeing FiOS TV via HDMI, Wii and 480p DVD via cables. I’m not a videophiles but everything looks a lot like me. With the default settings, the blacks are black and many colors seem very natural. And after watching some NBA games, I do not regret most transmission of 120 Hz from the B550 model. The sound is excellent for viewing and most of the lots, but I recommend at least a pair of external speakers for the purpose of movies and heavy music programming.
The remote is easy to use and you can change input sources with the touch of a button. A single button cycles through the modes of zoom and I use often when watching SD programming to eliminate the black bands. The TV’s menu system is easy to navigate and has more options I need. The only adjustment made to reduce the brightness of the backlighting (there is also an energy saving setting that does the same).
Quick Setup. Although there were instructions for the assembly of the stand is pre-assembled. Took 2 people to lift and guide the TV in the booth, and the 4 screws that are needed to ensure support for the TV. During the first tension, television asks some questions and you’re ready to go.
I recently bought this Samsung LN46A550 to LN46B550 after the owner of approximately 2 months (who has just returned to Costco). I was very pleased with the LN46A However, when Amazon offers a model for B, less than what I paid at Costco ($[...] including transportation costs) for model A, j have taken the opportunity to return the original TV Costco within 90 days of the return policy and improve LN46B. I am so happy to have made that decision. LN46B550 The image is much sharper than the LN46A (A has a rate of 30,000:1 and B has a ratio of 70,000:1), colors are more vibrant and the sound is even better than the old model.
I have my TV connected to a surround sound system using the Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver and Polk Audio speakers (two purchased from Amazon) and could not be happier. When they finally jump to a home theater system, I do not think they could get a quality system for less than $ 2500 – $ 3000. Imagine my surprise to receive a Samsung TV, receiver, high quality and large speakers’$[...]. Thanks Amazon!

Which are better speakers Polk Audio VM20 or Monitor Audio R225 for my left right and center channel?
Both companies have good reputations in the audio world...So as far as a quality build, there's not much to worry about - both will last for years...
Styling is pretty nice on both models...The Polk's have aluminium enclosures which may or may nor fit your taste style wise...With the Monitors being wood, you'd have more choices of finishes...
But the ultimate deciding factor between any speakers is how they sound (duh)...If there's an audio shop nearby, take some personal CDs and take a close-up listen to them...Some audio purists will prefer the wood enclosures...
I've personally never been a big fan of Polk Audio...Not that they're bad, they've just never done anything for me...I've heard Monitors, and at their price point, I think they're some of the top choices...
Also check out Focal's SIB XL or B&W's PFM4's...Same kind of speaker you've mentioned, but sonically MUCH better...
