Which home theater system...?

some say that sony makes crapy speakers. is that ture or am i good?
Sony does not make good sound system as they did many years ago. The quality of there product have also declined. If you want a good system, I recommend you look at an Onkyo HT-S6200. It is a receiver 7.1 and a 7.1 speaker system. You can demo the system at any Fry's Electronic store.
This system is capable of the 7.1 Dolby Digital and DTS True HD loss less audio. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read reviews on receivers and home theater in a box. Home theater in a box are not flexible to add any equipment to them down the road. For receivers I would stay with Pioneer Elite, Denon, Onkyo and Yamaha. For Speakers JBL, Infinity, Definitive Technology, Klipsch, Energy, Mirage, Focal and Martin Logan just to name a few. Hope this will help you out.
